During a routine inspection
We spoke with two of the five people who use the service. They both told us they were happy living in the home and described a wide range of activities they took part in outside the home, including drama, swimming, badminton and exercise classes. Everyone had just returned from a week's holiday abroad which they said they had enjoyed very much. People said they liked the staff and got on well with them. We saw staff interacting with people in a caring and sensitive way and responding to their needs.
Staff received appropriate training to enable them to provide the care and support that people needed. They demonstrated the knowledge and skills needed to protect patients from possible abuse. Systems were in place to assess and monitor the quality of service that people received and ensure care was provided in a safe environment.
