During a routine inspection
Patients told us they had been involved in discussions with the dentist about their treatment. We saw patients were given privacy.
One patient told us, 'The dentist is nice and friendly and goes through things well with me.' We saw that treatment plans had been completed.
Staff were able to describe the process for maintaining infection control within the treatment rooms. Instruments were cleaned appropriately. However, we saw some debris around the base of the treatment chair and there were no processes for formally monitoring domestic cleaning.
We looked at two staff files. We saw that there some systems in place to check on staffs identity however not their previous employment references.
There were effective systems in place to review the quality of the service provided for patients.
