During a routine inspection
Patients said staff supported them to be involved in their care and make choices about how care was provided. They (patients) told us they knew they could read their plan of care, but staff kept them up to date about their care and they had confidence in the staff. They said they felt safe and able to raise any concerns with the staff. All staff we spoke with demonstrated a good understanding of how to react to concerns raised with them.
Staff told us that they had enough training to meet patient's needs. They told us that staffing levels had improved and there were now sufficient staff available on the ward.
Records of care and treatment were seen to be easy to use and mostly accurate.
Falmouth Hospital also provides additional services such as a minor injuries unit and day hospital. We did not inspect these facilities at this inspection.
