During a routine inspection
People experienced care, treatment and support that met their needs and protected their rights. The people we spoke with said they received good dental care from students who were well supervised. One person said, "The students did everything right. They listened to me, sought my opinion, discussed the treatment plan with their supervisor and then shared the outcome with me to see if I was ok with it.'
People were protected from the risk of infection because appropriate guidance had been followed and people were cared for in a clean, hygienic environment. All of the people we spoke with said the dental school was clean and hygienic.
People were treated by dental students who were supervised by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced dentists.
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received. The provider also had an effective system in place to identify, assess and manage risks to the health, safety and welfare of people using the service and others.
