During a routine inspection
W observed the care of people who were not able to speak with us, due to their complex needs. We also spoke to four people who use the service who were able to tell us about their experiences. Their comments included 'first class, nothing to fault, they really look after me' and 'it's really nice, everyone is friendly and the food is good'.
We spoke with seven relatives of people who use the service. The majority of feedback was positive. Comments included 'it's lovely, the staff are really caring and any niggles are sorted out straightaway' and 'I've never been so impressed, can't fault the place'. However, less positive feedback was also received, with comments including 'it's ok but the staff have changed a lot and now they don't know my relative so well'.
We spoke with five of the home's care staff. Mixed feedback was received, with some staff saying they felt supported and enjoyed their jobs, but others expressing dissatisfaction at staffing levels. The deputy manager acknowledged there had been problems with staff satisfaction levels following a change of provider.
