During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us that they were happy with the service provided and that staff were reliable and punctual. They said that staff were polite and courteous. People told us that the cost of care was fully explained to them, and they had a copy of the agreement in a file with the care plan.
The supervisor carried out spot checks regularly to make sure that people who used the service were happy. People told us that they knew who to go to if they had any concerns, but that they had no concerns.
Comments from people who used the service included:
"It is an excellent service, and I cannot fault them'
"I am happy with the support our carer gives us"
"The carers are prompt, reliable and competent"
"They are diligent and reliable"
We found that care plans were reviewed on a regular basis and information was clearly documented.
Records were stored securely and there were systems in place to report safeguarding incidents.
There was a policy and process in place for ensuring that appropriate trained staff were recruited and the safety checks were completed.
There was an effective complaints system available. Comments and complaints people made were responded to appropriately.
