In this report the name of a registered manager appears who was not in post and not managing the regulatory activities at this location at the time of the inspection. Their name appears because they were still a Registered Manager on our register at the time. The registered provider was managing the service at the time of our visit. We met with the one person using service, one of their relatives, the registered provider and operations manager.
The person using the service told us that staff treated them well and respected their independence. They told us, 'I do everything for myself' and 'the staff are not too bad, if I have a problem I call for them.' They said someone was always available at the care home if they needed help with anything.
The person using the service had support plans in place, which they were involved in and which outlined their agreed care arrangements.
There were inadequate arrangements to ensure that staff were appropriately recruited however. The provider was not fully aware of the government standards of quality and safety which may have an impact on the quality of care that people receive from the agency.
