During a routine inspection
We spoke with four careworkers, the care coordinator and the manager. The careworkers told us they could approach the provider with any concerns at any time. One careworker told us, 'This is a small company and we are able to provide a service that is really personal and individual to each client.'
We found that people were given choices and their preferences were respected.
People told us they felt safe. Staff understood their responsibilities to recognise and act upon any concerns. We found there were clear record keeping, training for staff and monitoring processes in place for the administration of medication.
There were records for the recruitment and training of staff. There were arrangements in place for the supervision of staff.
The provider had a quality control process in place. We saw records of spot checks and care plan reviews in place. This ensured that standards were maintained and people's requirements regularly reviewed with them. We found that records of people's needs and support were up to date, clear and informative.
