One relative told us 'my son is looked after fantastically. He is always happy to return to the home after he has visited us at home. He has really developed as a person since being at the home and is always well presented'.

Four people living at the home told us or indicated they were happy and felt safe with care workers at the home.

The three relatives who spoke with us told us their sons were provided with a safe environment and were happy at the home. We found the provider had ensured staff employed by them were safe to work with people at the home.

Relatives also told us care workers at the home were well trained, continued to meet people's needs and were 'good at doing so'.

We saw people were provided with access to their local authority social workers who attended reviews. People's health needs included care from other health care professionals as required.

One person told us, 'I am well looked after here'.

Another person told us, 'I am okay here and I like living here'.

Our observations showed that when people were at the service they responded well to staff and were comfortable in their surroundings. We did not witness any instances of challenging behaviour during our visit. Two people told us they were satisfied with the staff who provided them with help and support.

We were notified the manager has left the service. We met staff who were supporting people at the home and knew people at the service well. We saw the rota was arranged around people's needs. We saw where necessary the help and support of staff from other parts of the same organisation were made available.
