During a routine inspection
We found people who used the service felt safe when they attended the practice. Staff we spoke to knew what the different types and signs of abuse were and how to recognise them.
People we spoke with told us the practice was clean and hygienic. One person told us "yes it is really clean and tidy." The provider had an arrangement in place to dispose of clinical waste. We found staff were knowledgeable about the disposable of clinical and general waste. The provider had a contract in place with a reputable company to dispose of clinical waste.
We found staff received appropriate professional development. Staff files we reviewed showed they had regular training. Certificates we found included cross infection and decontamination, first aid, safeguarding adults and children, gum disease, procedures and protocols of surgery. People we spoke with told us they felt staff were trained to do their job. One person told us they felt staff were "well trained."
People we spoke with told us they had no complaints about the quality of the service provided by the practice. The provider had a system in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the service.
