Updated 3 June 2024
Date of assessment: 26 June and 12 July 2024. Croft House Rest Home is a residential care home providing accommodation and residential care for up to 22 people in one adapted building, with bedrooms over 3 floors. At the time of the inspection there were 20 people living at the service. We decided to assess parts of the safe, effective, caring, and well-led key questions in response to concerns raised which indicated poor practice and closed cultures. People we spoke with expressed they were happy with the care. However, we found a breach of the legal regulation in relation to good governance. Systems were not operated effectively to maintain securely stored and complete records of each person. The provider is required to provide an action plan to assure us what they will do to make necessary improvements at the service.
