During a routine inspection
One person and the relative of another person who used the service told us that they were happy with the care provided to them by the agency. One person told us 'I am quite happy with the care'. The relative of another person told us that they had been given information about the service before their family member started to receive care. This also included information about how they could make a complaint if they were unhappy about their care.
We found that people were involved in making decisions about their personal care needs and that they had received appropriate care assessments to ensure their welfare and safety. We also found that the service had safeguarding policies and procedures in place to ensure that any allegations of abuse were taken seriously. We also found that the provider had a complaints system to ensure that any complaints were dealt with effectively. However, we found that the provider did not operate an effective recruitment system to ensure that staff were suitable to work with vulnerable adults.
