During a routine inspection
We found that people expressed their views and were involved in making decisions about their care.They felt their dignity was maintained. One person who used the service said they were 'very happy, they're very good to me. I've been treated with respect like old people should be.'
People's needs were assessed and care was planned and delivered in line with their care plan. People had an assessment, care plan and risk assessments which were regularly reviewed. People who used the service were happy with their care. One said 'I can't speak highly enough, they're marvellous.'
The care workers had all received training in the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and were aware of their responsibilities and relevant procedures.
People were cared for by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. The provider had a programme of mandatory training and care workers were able to obtain further relevant qualifications and training. A person who uses the service felt confidence in the staff's skills and thought they were 'properly trained.'
The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive. This included quarterly, quality reviews with people and a programme of spot-checks of care workers.
