We found this practice was providing caring services in accordance with the relevant regulations.

Kindness, compassion and dignity
Prior to this inspection we received feedback from 18 patients. All feedback received was wholly positive. Patients commented, “The treatment is always with utmost care and of highest standard”, “Excellent dentist with brilliant and informative staff. My child Is a nervous patient but is always put at ease with the dentist and his nurse. They explain thoroughly what they will be doing even for a basic check-up and let her hold a mirror so she can see what they are looking at”. Staff helped patients to be involved in decisions about their care and gave patients clear information to help them make informed choices about their treatment. Patients said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. We were provided with a patient survey; positive responses were received from patients. We were told that patients also left comments in the suggestions box in the waiting room which were acted upon if possible.
Staff were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights. Staff were aware of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles. Leaders described how they supported the wellbeing of staff.
We did not receive any concerns from partners.
The practice had information governance arrangements and staff were aware of the importance of protecting patients’ personal information. Staff password protected patients’ electronic care records, and paper records were stored securely and complied with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We saw the general environment helped to protect patients’ privacy and dignity. Staff treated patients with kindness, respect and compassion.
