During a routine inspection
The practice had a policy for ensuring that all patients regardless of their background were treated with respect and dignity. Assessments and treatment plans had been prepared for patients. Staff had explained treatment options and risks to patients and treatment was given with their agreement and written consent. Regular checks and audits of the care and treatment provided had been documented. Staff were knowledgeable regarding procedures for safeguarding children and adults.
There were arrangements for the regular maintenance of equipment. Staff had received training on infection control and there were suitable arrangements for the decontamination of equipment and instruments used. There was a brochure with information regarding the practice. Patients were aware of the complaints procedure and complaints made had been responded to.
