During a routine inspection
Support staff were aware of people’s individual health needs and assisted them with attending medical appointments.
We found that staff were well informed about safeguarding vulnerable adults, and knew the action to take if they suspected that people may be at risk of being abused.
We found that there were reliable processes in place for support staff to help people receiving support to understand the importance of promoting good infection control, and to help implement this.
We talked with staff about their training and development, and viewed three staff training files at the head office. We found that all mandatory training was completed prior to support staff commencing work, and staff were supported with further training to develop their skills.
We found that the company had appropriate systems in place to obtain people’s feedback and views about the support they received. Their viewpoints were listened to and were acted on.
