During a routine inspection
We also spent time talking with the registered manager and a member of staff during our visit. Staff we spoke with told us that they received good support and training from the organisation.
We looked at a number of records during our visit. Records we saw showed that consent had been obtained from the person living at the home and systems were in place to protect their best interests.
Records we looked at also confirmed that staff received good training in areas such as safeguarding. Staff were able to demonstrate their understanding about protecting people from abuse and keeping them safe.
We looked at the home's recruitment process and found that appropriate checks had been made before staff commenced working for the organisation. This helped to ensure people who lived at the home were cared for by suitable staff.
We looked at the home's quality monitoring systems. The home had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service, which made sure that they continually met people's care needs.
