During a routine inspection
One person told us the staff treated then with respect when they provided personal care. They said, "They always cover me up and make sure the door and curtains were closed." However we found there were not procedures in place to ensure people's dignity was respected.
We found support plans contained clear detailed instructions for staff to ensure they met people's needs. A support plan is a document with identifies a person's needs and how staff can meet those needs.
Staff were able to discuss the care and welfare needs of all the people they supported.one person who used the service told us staff did everything they asked them to do. They said, "I can tell them if I do not like something, they always ask me what I want."
Staff told us they felt supported by the management at all times. However, we found staff had not received any supervision since June 2013.
We saw systems in place to record and monitor the management of medication.
We found a number of audits had taken place to ensure the quality of the service and to ensure it was effective to meet people's needs.
