During a routine inspection
We found that people were able to express their views and were involved in making decisions about their care and support. People who used the service and relatives commented 'My mother was involved in the setting up of the care plan', 'We were both involved in drawing up the care plan', 'My relative is treated with respect, good humour and sensitivity' and 'Communication on any changes is excellent'. All the people confirmed that they felt safe in the care of the staff and they didn't have any concerns or complaints.
We looked at four care records and all had an assessment of their health and social needs completed. There were individual care plans and risk assessments in place, There was evidence to show that they had been evaluated and this meant that the service could show they could meet people's needs and maintain their health and well being.
Staff confirmed that they were well supported by the management and office team. They enjoyed the training and had particularly found the course on dementia awareness very good.
