During a routine inspection
People were involved in making decisions about the care and support they needed. Staff sought consent before people were helped. People's needs were assessed and support plans detailed how they wanted to be supported. We found that people were satisfied with how they were supported with their medicines. One person showed us where their medicines were stored and said, 'I have to take my tablets on time and they [staff] remind me.' Another person told us they checked their medicines with the staff before the medicines were administered.
Checks were carried out to make sure that people were cared for and supported by staff that were suitable to work with vulnerable people. Staff were trained for their job role and received timely support from the managers.
The provider has a number of monitoring systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of service people received. People's views were sought through reviews of their care needs and satisfaction surveys. People were made aware of how to make a complaint and were confident that any concerns raised would be addressed.
