Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must within 14 days after this condition taking effect, provide the Care Quality Commission with a report on the points cited below detailing the steps the registered provider has taken or intends to take. Thereafter on the first Monday of each month, the registered provider must send to the Commission an updated report. The registered provider is to detail areas of risk identified (in relation to a) to b), and action taken to mitigate these risks. The report is to detail the name of service user care records reviewed, dates of the review, what the risks are associated with the service user and what has been reviewed and checked as part of the review. Details of any action needed to improve (as appropriate), timescales for improvements, who will be responsible for them, dates of completion (linked with the previous report), and what the monitoring arrangements will be going forward. This relates to all aspects of this condition (a) to (b).
a) Care plans and risk assessments are reviewed so each service user has an up to date care plan which details their health conditions, specific needs, routines, identifies areas of risk (such as nutrition, skin, mobility) confirming clear guidance and information on how service users will be supported.
b) Service users' medication administration records and medicines management are audited. Clear medicine audit systems and processes are to be in place, and action taken to address any identified improvement required.

c) The Registered Provider must ensure sufficient numbers of suitably trained and competent care staff are working in the home to meet the care and support needs of the service users. The registered provider must continually review the staffing arrangements ensuring service users changing needs are considered. The Commission must be notified of all instances when these staffing arrangements are not followed.
d) The Registered Person must implement effective quality assurance systems and processes to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of actions can be demonstrated. This includes ensuring fire safety measures in place are followed and the actions in the fire risk assessment are completed in a timely manner as specified.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at The Willows.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 32 service users at The Willows.
