During a routine inspection
All the relatives were very complementary about the service provided. One relative told us, 'Staff are very respectful and thoughtful. All are friendly and make sure mum understands things.' Another relative told us, 'Staff are respectful. Mum loves them and has a good laugh with them.'
People's care and health needs were planned and met in a personalised way but we found that some improvements could be made. All staff spoken with told us they had the information they needed to care for people safely.
Staff were clear about the action to take should they become aware of an allegation of abuse. All relatives spoken with told us they felt that their relative was safe and secure.
Staff were supported, supervised and trained to provide safe and effective care. All staff spoken with told us that they had the support they needed to ensure people's care needs were met. One staff told us they felt, '1000% supported. It is an excellent agency to work for.' Another staff told us, 'It's a good service and rewarding work. We have a good team, lots of give and take.'
There were systems in place to monitor how the service was run, and action was taken where feedback from relatives and people using the service said things could improve.
