During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us they were 'very happy" with the support and care provided and said the service was 'excellent'.
The agency office was situated in the town centre of Penrith. The office was on the ground floor and accessible from the main street via two steps. We were told that if required meetings could be held at a local community facility for anyone with mobility difficulties. The offices were of a reasonable size and provided sufficient space for staff to work in.
We saw records showing staff undertook induction training to give them the skills and knowledge to look after people properly. The recruitment procedures also included staff receiving observational supervisions during their induction period.
We saw that records for monthly audit checks were in place. The manager told us about the regular checks that occurred to ensure people were receiving safe and appropriate care. We were told how these audits were used to inform and improve the quality of the service.
