During a routine inspection
Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. People said about the service, 'Been great here, I feel welcome. It's a positive experience, the nicer the people, the easier it gets' and 'I can't knock them [staff] they're brilliant, my family's glad I'm back here.'
People were protected against the risks associated with medicines because the provider had appropriate arrangements in place to manage medicines. People said, 'Medication is very strict, it's prescribed, written and logged, and you are watched by a staff member to ensure you take it' and 'They [staff] come looking for you if you don't turn up for your medication.'
People were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. The service had a current recruitment procedure in place.
Comments and complaints people made were responded to appropriately. People said, 'I made a complaint and it got dealt with' and 'I told a staff member about something, got sorted, not a problem now."
