During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found effective recruitment procedures were in place to ensure that appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work.
We found effective recruitment procedures were in place to ensure that appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work.
We found that people were involved in reviewing their care and support plans and appropriate information in an easy to read format was provided. Staff understood how to promote people's involvement in their individual care and people told us that their needs were adequately met. We found that the provider had policies and procedures in place to ensure that vulnerable adults were protected from abuse. Both the staff and people using the service were aware of the arrangements in place to report the concerns if necessary. The provider had effective systems in place to monitor and review the quality of services provided. However we found that appropriate checks may not have been undertaken before staff began work as the relevant information was not available in staff records at the time of our inspection.
