Accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care

Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
1. The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Cedar Lodge.
2. The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 25 service users at Cedar Lodge.
3. The registered provider must develop and implement an action plan which must be submitted to the Commission for review within 10 days of this condition taking effect. Following the submission of the action plan an updated version is to be submitted by the registered provider to the Commission on the first Monday of each month. The action plan must include documentary evidence of the actions taken and include the following:
3.1 How you have assessed and are monitoring the quality and safety of all areas of the service provision. This must include your assessment and plan of action, with clear timescales, for necessary improvements, including repairs and refurbishment of the environment and how this will be achieved.
3.2 What improvements have been made to the premises including actions to ensure service users are safeguarded in relation to infection control and prevention of cross contamination.
3.3 A written plan of how the registered provider are monitoring the service and effectively supporting the registered manager. This must include details of provider audits being completed and frequency of visits to the service. It must also include details of supervision and support provided to the registered manager.
4. The Registered Provider must not admit new service users without first notifying the Care Quality Commission
5. Within 7 days of the Registered Provider notifying the Commission in relation to condition 4, the Registered Provider must send the Commission a copy of the new service user’s detailed care plan and risk assessments.
