During a routine inspection
We look at a wide range of records held at the service to help us understand the needs and views of the people who used the service.
We looked at the medical/care records of five people who used the service and found them to be fit for purpose and person centred. This meant that peoples care and treatment was discussed and planned with them.
People were cared for in a clean environment and the service had measures in place to control the spread of health acquired infections.
We found that people were protected from the risk of harm from unsafe or unsuitable equipment.
The service had carried out appropriate pre-employment checks to ensure that people were cared for by staff that were assessed as fit, appropriately qualified and were physically and mentally able to do their jobs. Staff had a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks carried out before they commenced employment
The Harley Medical Group had systems in place to deal with comments and complaints including providing people who used the services with information about that system.
