During a routine inspection
We saw that a personalised service was provided that was tailored to the needs of the individual. A range of activities were on offer and the service accompanied people to undertake the activities they had an interest in.
Staff identified people's preferences and what food they liked. People were supported to eat and drink sufficient amounts. Staff supported people to be independent and helped them prepare and cook their own meals.
Medication was securely stored and appropriately administered. There were processes in place to check the amount of medication at the service and to ensure the appropriate medicine was given back to the person when they left the service.
There were appropriate recruitment processes in place. There was an induction process in place to ensure new staff were familiar with the provider's policies and the procedures at the service.
People were asked for their views about the service and any areas for improvement were acted upon. There were processes in place to record incidents and we saw that lessons had been learnt and procedures had changed in response to incidents that had occurred.
