During a routine inspection
We found the practice was based within an old building but was well maintained throughout. We found there was limited parking at the front of the practice. The areas of the practice used for patients was all on one level and there was appropriate disabled access to the services.
We spoke with three patients and three staff during the inspection to ask them their views and experiences of the practice.
Patients we spoke with told us that the appointment system was very good and you could always see the GP. They told us that staff were friendly and helpful. Comments included; 'It's a first class service'.
The practice had electronic records in place to accurately describe the contact patients had with the service and the actions taken to provide appropriate care and treatment.
The practice had a range of policies and procedures in place for staff to access, which supported the safe running of the service.
The practice had up to date child and adult protection policies and procedures in place. This information included contact details for staff to raise concerns with the appropriate agencies.
We saw records were kept of adverse events, accidents or incidents including actions taken.
Patients told us; "I am not registered here but my family are and we can always get them seen when we need to. This is very important to us. They always run to time we never have to wait more than a few minutes". "A great service and friendly staff".
