Our view of the service
Watermoor House is a care home registered to provide accommodation, nursing, and personal care. The aim of the service is to provide residential support and care. The assessment commenced on 31 January 2024 and concluded on 05 February 2024 and did not include a site visit. We looked at 6 quality statements; Assessing Needs, Delivering Evidence Based Care and Treatment, How Staff, Teams and Services Work Together, Supporting People To Live Healthier Lives, Monitoring and Improving Outcomes and Consent to Care and Treatment. Following the assessment, the overall rating of Requires Improvement has remained. The Effective Key Question has now changed to Requires Improvement.
People's experience of this service
We received positive and complimentary comments and written feedback from people who lived at the service, relatives, staff and community health and social care professionals. As the assessment was carried out remotely, we gathered views related to people’s experience by speaking to them on the phone. People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practise.
