During a routine inspection
People's needs had been assessed by senior staff and they had a care plan kept in their home. Everyone had a care plan that was kept up to date. In some cases the information was brief but staff had clear verbal directions which reduced the risk.
People felt the care was given safely and they trusted the staff who supported them. The owner had procedures in place and understood how to manage safeguarding situations in partnership with the local authority.
Staff were suitably trained and felt supported in their work. They prided themselves that the service was given in a very personalised way. There were effective leadership systems in place to manage the care service and monitor health and safety risks, however, there was room to develop these.
