Our view of the service
The practice was last inspected on 22 December 2015 and rated Outstanding overall. Date of current assessment: 17 June to 20 June 2024. We conducted a targeted assessment of the service to follow up information of concern. We assessed the quality statements: Safe Environments and Infection, prevention and control, under the key question "Are services safe?". This assessment included a site visit on 19 June 2024. Balmoral Surgery is an NHS GP Practice located at Canada Road, Walmer, Deal, Kent, CT14 7EQ. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that the deprivation score within the practice population is 7 out of 10. The lower the score, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. Latest available data shows the ethnic make-up of the practice area is 97% White, 1.1% Asian, 0.3% Black, 1.2% Mixed, 0.4% Other. The practice is open Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm and on Fridays from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. The practice offers face to face, telephone and home appointments. Extended access appointments are provided through the primary care network. Out of hours services are provided by NHS 111.
