During a routine inspection
We spoke with five people to gain their views and experience of the service and treatment received from their dentist. People were very complementary about the service received. One person said 'it's pretty top notch here'. Another person said 'I have recommended her (the provider) to others before because I have confidence in her ability'.
People told us they could express their views and make informed decisions about their treatment. Four dental records read showed the reasons why treatment was recommended, people's agreement, the choice of treatment options and oral health advice provided.
There were effective procedures in place to clean and sterilise dental equipment to minimise the risk of people acquiring an infection. Staff had received regular training to prevent the risk of infection.
There were systems in place to assess and monitor the service to ensure that risks to people's health and safety were identified and addressed.
