During a routine inspection
The people and the relatives that we spoke with were happy with the care they received. One person said, 'I really enjoyed my holidays.' A relative told us, 'In the main, it is a very good service.' Another relative said, 'Absolutely fantastic.' A further relative said, 'They are very good.'
We found that people were treated with respect and that they and their relatives were involved in decisions about their care.
The service had carried out an assessment of people's needs before they used the service. Risk assessments were in place to ensure that people's day to day living was safe.
People and their relatives told us that they felt safe with the staff. The staff demonstrated a good awareness of safeguarding vulnerable adults and we were assured that any concerns would be reported to the appropriate authorities.
The staff told us that they felt supported and we saw that they had received training to ensure that the care they provided was safe and of a good quality.
The service monitored the quality of the care and support they provided and took action when poor care was identified.
