Assessing needs
Overall people were positive about the experience they received. People felt the service was adaptable to their needs and this made people feel they mattered to the provider. Care homes the provider served felt they had a good relationship and were responsive to concerns regarding people’s needs. The provider produced a newsletter which people felt provided them with additional information to better access services they weren’t aware of and gave people empowerment to improve their own health.
Staff had a sound understanding of their population’s needs. They had considered how they need to adapt to provide the same level of care for everyone and they proactively sought ways to ensure the community they served felt supported.
There was a comprehensive system in place to support carers. Ways to additionally support this group were creatively implemented through packages to support young carers and through engaging with external stakeholders to further enhance the service they offered this group. The needs of the population were clearly identified and adjustments were implements to better support people.
