During a routine inspection
People told us they were happy with the staff provided. Comments included, 'staff are kind' and 'they're alright.' We saw staff and the management team interact with people in a friendly and appropriate manner. Staff had good knowledge of people's individual needs and spoke about people respectfully. We found that people were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care safely and to an appropriate standard. We also found that there were effective recruitment and selection processes in place that involved people who use the service.
People told us they felt safe using the service, and that they could speak with staff if they had concerns. We found that people were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
The manager demonstrated a number of methods by which the quality of services had been reviewed and improved upon, both across the service and for specific individuals where there had been concerns about their needs being met. We found that the provider had systems to assess and monitor quality and risks at the service.
