78 Hoylake Crescent is a care home for up to four people who have mental health needs and learning disabilities. At the time of our inspection, there were four people living at the home and no one living had a learning disability. The service was last inspected on 5 April 2022 and was rated Good. We carried out our on-site assessment at the home on 25 July 2024. Medicines were managed in a safe manner and people’s medicines were administered as prescribed. The provider had a process to identify lessons learned to reduce further risks following an incident and accident or complaint. Care workers completed a range of training courses to provide updates on current best practice. There was a procedure in place for infection prevention and control. People’s care and support needs were assessed before they moved into the home. The provider had a process to identify if the person could consent to their care. The provider had a range of audits to monitor the quality of the care provided. Care workers felt supported by the provider. We have assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted.
