During a routine inspection
The surgery had only been open for six months and as a result some people were attending for the first time. However, the dentist on duty had worked at another practice and some people using the service had transferred with her. One person said, "I have every confidence in the dentist. She is kind and will do the best for me."
People told us they felt confident the staff were well trained. Staff records confirmed that the staff had been checked as suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults.
We saw documentation that was completed at each visit and confirmed the discussions between each person using the service and the dentist and detailed how decisions about treatment had been made.
The service had a complaints system in place and information about the procedure for making a complaint was available to people who use the service.
