During a routine inspection
There were processes to assess each person's suitability prior to surgery and to ensure that people gave informed consent to surgery. People were cared for in a safe environment by staff who had received the necessary training. There were procedures and equipment in place to deal with emergencies and staff had been trained to manage in the event of a medical emergency.
The clinic had systems to ensure that people were protected from the risk of infection. This included staff training as well as processes for cleaning and managing waste.
There were suitable recruitment and employment processes and staff were supported by the provider's systems and policies. People were complimentary about staff and described them as 'professional and kind'.
People told us that they could voice their opinions about the service as well raise a concern if they had one. They were encouraged to give feedback, which was responded to by the provider. Information about the complaints process was provided to each person using the service.
