During a routine inspection
We were given a tour of the premises and we observed the facilities were clean and tidy and the environment was well maintained. We noted wheelchair access was available at the rear of the building if required.
We looked at a sample of patient records which demonstrated that at each visit general health details and medications were updated and soft tissue and palette examinations were noted.
We spoke with four patients during the inspection who all spoke positively about their experiences each time they had visited the practice. Comments included; 'I've been coming here a while. It's excellent. The staff are all friendly and helpful' and 'The staff are comfortable to talk to. They make that extra effort to get to know you' and 'They are spot on. There is no need to go anywhere else'.
The practice had effective systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. Audits were undertaken on a regular basis which included radiographs, appointments and records.
We found the practice had several systems in place in order to gain feedback on the service. This included the use of an annual survey as well as a complaints log and a procedure which was displayed in the waiting room.
