During a routine inspection

We have republished the inspection findings of 22 January 2013 to ensure the report now contains the correct location address. In February 2014 we also asked the provider to send us details of feedback from people using the service. We saw that a survey was completed in 2013 where people had been asked for their feedback on the service. Thirty people had answered questions about the condition of waiting and surgery rooms, how approachable and helpful the staff were, and their overall impression. All respondents answered good or excellent to all questions. We saw that the provider had responded to suggestions from people using the service by improving the choice of seat heights in the waiting room and by adding safety markings to steps.

At the announced visit on 22 January 2013 we met five people attending appointments and accompanied two people during their consultation and treatment. All were positive about the standard of dental treatment they received. One person described the dental service they received as, 'Excellent.' People said they felt respected by staff and were fully involved in the decisions about their dental care and treatment. This was also confirmed in our observations. People told us that they would recommend the service to others. One person said that they had recommended the service, especially 'To anxious patients,' as they found the dentist to be, 'Very calming.' People commented on the warm welcome they received from staff. One person described staff as, 'Extremely friendly' who 'Always remembered their name.'
