During a routine inspection

We visited the main office of E-zec Medical Transport Services, spoke with the registered manager and checked records. We also spoke with four clinics or GP surgeries and one hospital that used the company to provide patient transport services. One person told us, 'it's a good service, we've never had any complaints.' Another person said 'the service has really improved since E-zec started.' One person did say 'there have been some issues with punctuality but their attitude is good and we are talking to them about improvements.'

We saw the provider had policies and procedures for safeguarding adults and children. Staff received training and safeguarding concerns were managed appropriately.

We saw that regular checks were completed on the ambulances to make sure they were safe and clean for people to use.

Staff recruitment procedures were in place and the provider carried out the required checks before staff worked with people using the service.

Systems were in place to monitor the standards of service provided and the provider carried out regular checks to make sure standards were maintained.
