Relatives confirmed their relatives were fully involved in the process of making arrangements about the care and support they needed. The care plans we saw were detailed and written in a clear and person centred way.
People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. Appropriate checks were undertaken before staff began work.
We spoke with two support workers who confirmed that they had completed an induction training programme before working with people in an unsupervised capacity. They said the training they had received 'was really good' and 'I feel safe and comfortable working with people'.
Relatives told us that they were 'very pleased with the service' and 'it has more than met our expectations' and 'it's nice to hear [my relative] laugh again'.
