Our view of the service
BCP Shared Lives is a care scheme where people can live with support in the family home of a self-employed Shared Lives carer. These Shared Lives carers are recruited and trained by the BCP Shared Lives officers who are responsible for matching people to carers. At the time of the inspection, there were 45 people using the service. We carried out our on-site assessment on the 5 January 2024 and 8 January 2024, off site assessment activity started on 7 December 2023 and ended on 10 January 2024. During this assessment we looked at 5 quality statements: Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes.
