During a routine inspection
We spoke with three people who attended for treatment during our visit. They were all requiring different types of treatment. One was for a preventative filling, one for the taking of impressions for tooth whitening treatment trays and the final person for cosmetic veneers. They all said that the dentist explained treatment well. One person said that he was a 'really nice bloke' and another person said that he was 'gentle and patient'. The other person, who had been recommended to use the practice, told us they 'couldn't recommend the practice highly enough'. They said that the practice had been accommodating in respect of appointment times and that treatment had been 'professional and painless'.
We saw there were good records of patient treatment including x-rays and up to date medical history and arrangements were in place to deal with medical emergencies.
The provider was committed to providing a quality service. We found good infection control arrangements in place. Staff said they felt supported and had good opportunities for training. The provider had made arrangements for responding to suspicions of abuse.
