During a routine inspection
We spoke with two people attending the practice for a routine check-up or treatment during our inspection visit. We also spoke to a child who had received treatment on the day of the visit
Everyone we spoke with was positive in their comments about the practice and were complimentary about the staff at the practice. They described them as 'very good' and 'patient.'
People told us they had no difficulty arranging appointments. We saw certain appointment slots were available for emergencies throughout each day.
People we spoke with told us they had been given detailed information about the options available to them. They told us they were asked about their medical history at each visit. People confirmed they were told how much they could expect to pay for treatment.
Records showed people were given advice about oral health and hygiene.
We asked people about the cleanliness of the practice. People told us they found the practice to be clean and this was observed during our visit. Instruments were decontaminated safely and to essential quality standards.
We saw the practice had completed an infection control audit where they were rated as having achieved 95 per cent compliance in achieving best practice.
The practice ensured people were cared for by staff who were skilled, qualified and fit to work.
