During a routine inspection
During our inspection we spoke to clinical and administration staff and people using the service. Community services were delivered from the first floor of a three story building. Access was via stairs or lifts. Parking was available on site, with designated parking for blue badge holders. The reception and waiting areas were large, light, airy and clean. People could check in at reception or via a computer screen. Treatment was delivered in individual rooms which were clean and well equipped. A gymnasium was also used for group therapy and teaching.
X-ray services were available and a small theatre for minor, local anaesthetic operations. Some services were delivered by clinical practitioners from other NHS organisation, such as dentists and midwifery.
People who used the service and staff we spoke with all told us how much they liked the new building. People said, 'it's easy to park here' and 'you can't always hear the announcements' and 'brilliant staff, very caring and welcoming'.
