During a routine inspection
We checked that people who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse and found that the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening.
However, we found that arrangements for the recording and safe administration of medicines did not fully protect people against the risks associated with the unsafe use and management of medicines.
Staff we spoke with were very positive about the support provided from managers. However, we found that training and supervision arrangements did not ensure that staff were appropriately supported to deliver care and support to people safely and to an appropriate standard.
We also found that recruitment processes were not effective at demonstrating that staff were of good character before they started working with people using the service.
