During a routine inspection

During our inspection we spoke with six people who used the service. One person told us, "They (the care staff) always ask me what I want to do and what I want to wear." Another person we spoke with said, "They (the care staff) are really helpful, they make sure I have everything I need and check that I am feeling alright." They also told us that staff helped them to stay independent. One person said, 'They come and see me every day, it means that I can live independently.'

During our inspection we spoke with the registered manager who told about the way they offered support, their safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures and about staff recruitment and training.

We looked at a range of records including care records and staff recruitment and training records. These showed that the measures we had been told about were in place and clear and accurate information was available about the service and the people they supported.
