Effective
We reviewed the qulity statement for the effective key question delivering evidence based care. Managers used available national guidance to develop standard operating procedures for staff to follow. Where national standards did not apply to the service they developed guidance for staff to follow. Managers monitored how effective the service was using a range of methods.

Delivering evidence-based care and treatment
Staff followed national guidelines where they were available and relevant for the service provided. National infection prevention and control guidelines, safety and vehicle roadworthiness national guidelines were followed. Staff used evidence from across the service. which was collated using audit processes. Results measured how well systems worked. For example, cleaning of vehicles, timing of journeys and reasons for delays. This helped staff to identify improvement actions. Staff reported incidents, managers identified improvement actions and shared this with staff.
Policies and standard operating procedures included national guidelines. Staff knew where to find this and when to seek further support. Staff were encouraged to report any concerns they had and share good practice across the whole service. Managers used audit processes to monitor staff compliance with policies.
